Jordan Ginard is the Senior Physiotherapist at Unison Health. He is 30 years old and originally born in Hastings, England. His family migrated to Australia in 1998 and has have been in Townsville ever since. He went to Pimlico state high school and then went on and completed two university degrees at James Cook University. Jordan graduated with a Bachelor degree of Sport and Exercise Science in 2011 and a bachelor degree of Physiotherapy in 2015.
Why did Jordan become a physiotherapist?
During his teenage years, Jordan was a very keen skateboarder while playing soccer for school/club/representative levels. One day, he suffered a traumatic ankle fracture-dislocation,. This required a very long rehabilitation. Physiotherapy was the reason Jordan achieved full function of his ankle despite the extent of the injury. Through his past experiences, it created a need to help others bounce back from their musculoskeletal injuries. More importantly, Jordan is passionate about showing people ways to prevent injury from occurring in the first place!
When he’s away from the clinic, Jordan enjoys spending time in the gym working on his own fitness – got to practice what he preaches! More importantly he loves spending time with his wife, family and friends. Jordan does like to live the simple life. Good food, good wine and good company is his ideal way of having a good time! Jordans favourite place to go is Magnetic Island where you can find him laying on the beach, swimming, and simply relaxing. He is also a massive sports fan. Jordan follows boxing, MMA, rugby union/league, cricket, soccer and pretty much every other sport that he can watch.
